Quite a lot has been going on at Matthews Gallery lately, and it’s all chronicled on our Instagram feed. Read the stories behind some of our latest and greatest photos below, and make sure to follow us for much more!
Boo! Our communications director Jordan dressed as a burglar for the Canyon Road Merchants Association‘s safe trick-or-treating event on Halloween, but it was the kids who took all the candy. By the end of the night, we’d passed out 7 bags of it!
Our artist Hannah Holliday Stewart was known for her (often monumental) bronze sculptures. We gave our followers a peek at her ceramics. Learn about the versatile and mysterious artist in our blog post SECRETS OF THE WAREHOUSE.
Will there really be a morning? Is there such a thing as day? Could I see it from the mountains If I were as tall as they? Has it feet like water-lilies? Has it feathers like a bird? Is it brought from famous countries Of which I have never heard? Oh, some scholar! Oh, some sailor! Oh, some wise man from the skies! Please to tell a little pilgrim Where the place called morning lies! -Emily Dickinson #poetry #dawn #sunrise #sculpture #canyonroad #canyongram #art #artist #santafenm
